We believe there is only one God and that the Bible is His Word, passed down through generations and written by many authors from diverse backgrounds and countries. Despite their differences, rich and poor alike, they all reached the same conclusion: God is the King of kings. The Bible is inspired by God. Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Through their choice, sin entered the world, separating humanity from God. Because God is holy, sin brought death and spiritual separation, leaving humanity doomed and powerless to save ourselves. God initially provided temporary coverings for sin through the sacrifice of animals, but these could not remove sin completely. God became flesh, born in Bethlehem as Jesus. He lived a perfect life, took the punishment for our sins, and died on the cross. Being pure and without sin, He rose on the third day, defeating death and opening the way for us to be with Him. God desires a relationship with us, but He leaves the choice up to each of us. Salvation is a gift of grace—freely offered, not earned—and we decide whether to accept it.
